The Longest 60 Seconds

When I was younger I was very active, sporty even and took up contact sports; however, when puberty hit, well let's just say my interest was redirected. Now that I'm in my late 20's, I find it hard to be active especially since I don't really like going out much and I have dizzy spells, of which doesn't feel good when you're moving around much.

So whenever my cousins or even my parents plan their next running session to the park or when my sister blabbers about her latest boxing session, I am sooo deadpan. Plus, we really let others do what they want around here. So, imagine my surprise when my sister told me to come with her to the gym, like whaaat?!

It's Always a Good Time: Birthdays with Friends

You cannot choose your family but you can definitely pick your friends. Well, it didn't go that way for me at all. I was among the transferred students in the new public school in the district. We were already on our senior year and honestly there was not really any particular reason for us to transfer, well, it maybe due to how close our houses were to the school and there were teachers to spare, sort of.

Keeping Up with the Time: Expressions Used Today

People just keep coming up with new words or expressions! There are so many expressions these days that I really have no idea as to what they are referring to and I would rather not concern myself with them, but I do enjoy whiling my time browsing through my social media or reading write-ups. So just imagine, when these weird expressions are dropped and I'm like, "what does that mean?" It's  quite frustrating, especially for me, who actually goes off the grid from time to time. Whenever I open my SNS or talk with my otherwise more "social" peers, I just can't keep up, and it's written all over my face!

Belle de Jour Rendezvous: Woman with Vision

Remember when I said that I'll be covering events in a previous post? So this is it! The first Belle de Jour Rendezvous of the year is my first event! My cousin-in-law/mommy-blogger Coi had me tag along. I was so looking forward to it, since I am familiar with the brand; my sister had been using their planner for about 3 years now, and this year I availed a planner myself.

To whom do you think it was for?

Those bouquet of tulips of various sizes and colours,
Those beautiful eyes gleaming with excitement and ardour.
And that pleasant smile of which other girls are deprived off;
To whom do you think it was for?

Each morning whether it rains or shines,
he is always waiting for you with a smile.
"How could you be so lucky?" the girls often exclaimed;
Then think to themselves, there are others far deserving of his name.

If you bother to think about it, what they say holds true,
I tell you now girl, don't you go brooding too much over it too!
He gave up a lot of better things just to be with you.
It wasn't exactly for his benefit now, would you?

So if there are times he fails to deliver or disappoints you in some way,
Don't forget all his hardships, the sacrifices he made in your name.
And if you ever come to a point you just can't get through,
Take time to ponder and ask yourself...

What good will it bring? Would it be for him or just you?

When He Sings

When we're together, I feel nothing but joy,
Even more so, when he sings, it gets me acting coy.
His voice, velvety and oh so pleasant to my ears;
Mingled with his stare that gives me the good kind of shivers, the feels!

 How is it that when he sings it makes me feel a lot,
Like it's only the two of us in a dime novel plot.
It's hard to put into words but the feeling was beyond this world,
Talking about it more would end with your toes curled!

You might think, I am too caught up with this,
Well, that's true! I won't argue with that validity with you.
I'm not crazy,
 but I'm definitely in love with his blues.

This world is full of uncertainty,
and he may not end up with me.
But for now, I know. . .
 His songs are meant only for me.

How to Apply for Makati's Yellow Card

The Makati Health Plus (or the "yellow card" as it is more popularly known) is the Makati residents' health aid from the local government. The card allows the bearer free/discounted access to medical aid in the local hospital, Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) provided that the hospital bill does not go over Php 5,000.00. In case that it does, a Php 200.00 donation is encouraged (as stated at the back of the card). The city has two branches of the local hospital, one in Malugay and the other in Pembo.

What's with the name?

If you happen to read my post prior to this one, I mentioned changing my blog's name and URL. And obviously I just did, haha... So right now, I am doing tweaks here and there as the settings have to be updated too. Honestly, I did not really think of all the hassle changing the name address would bring, so I was in for a surprise! But in retrospect, it's all good.

Coi and I often talked about maintaining our blogs. She's the one who told me that it was difficult to remember my URL. It got me thinking; sure I spent quite some time coming up with that one. "kacibulangdiwa" is derived from my initials and a play with words "sibol ng diwa" (blossoming of the mind); technically my blog's name means the unfolding of my mind. But what I thought was a pretty good name (and meaningful) may not actually come across the same way to the readers. Though my main reason for having a blog had nothing to do with gaining an audience; it's still elating to know that someone  actually reads and appreciates my writing. I've been trying to think of a new name since then.

Take Heart

Laugh all you want, it's fine
Even if it's 'cause of me, I don't mind.
At least, you're getting the natural high,
And in a way giving a positive vibe!

Life is short, they often say;
Why worry when you can laugh your troubles away?
Sure, it doesn't solve anything this way,
But it's a luxury, you don't have to pay.
You may be compared to others
and feel bad being so;
Just do what you're supposed to
Pay them no mind at all!

There's no assurance that tomorrow is better,
but one thing's for sure.
You are a day wiser and stronger
for all that you have endured!

It's been a long time. . .

Coming! Chos!

Hi!

So, this is my first post for the year! I was too busy doing the same old stuff last month to post anything; though I've listed topics and things I wanted to write about, I just didn't get around to finishing any of them! But then again, I am often passing my time in twitter, ranting or just talking about mundane things, stuffs that reasonable people could hardly care about, hahaha. . . I'll try not to have such loooong gaps in between my posts, (not that a lot of you are actually looking forward to any of them that is!) But anyway, writing really takes my mind off a lot of things, and I am in sore need of a distraction lately.

Just recently, I talked with my cousin-in-law/mommy-blogger Coi of Hey Mama Coi about her writing style and asked how on earth does she find the time to review products and cover events! Mind you, she's a full-time mom and housewife while I am, errr, moving on! We basically talked about maintaining our respective blogs and the changes we wanted to make. She figured out at the onset what she wanted to focus on while I am still on about random things. But do expect some changes in my blog's name and description one of these days, since I've actually given it serious thought. I am planning to cover some events too, but limited to those that I am actually interested in. What's the point of writing about something you don't believe/like/love anyway? I don't get even paid for it! Well at least, not now.

But until then, I will probably be updating my blog with poetry. I seem to have a knack for it, (I've been told) and I do think of random words that rhyme lately, so better to write them down than not all.

Do let me know your thoughts or just say hi if you happen to pass by my blog through the comment box below.

See yah!  :)
