Have You Made Up Your Mind Yet?

March is coming to a close and before you know it, April's here and May would be toddling along! You might think that the election is still a long way off as the hot weather these days seem to make the hours drag, but you really should be contemplating of who you're going to vote for now, lest your mind become muddled on the election day itself and end up voting for someone you don't really like just so you can complete your ballot. That would just be arghhh!

High School as Told in Anime

I have expressed my love for anime in more than one occasion and though I am not a full-fledged otaku, I can say I totally understand why they get so much attention, so much love and even get adapted to live-action series or movies!

Personally, I enjoy watching anime more than reading manga. Well, for one, I get more into the story that way. (Feeling ko ako yung bida haha!) Besides, actually seeing things / situations pan out whilst they move is better than seeing them in flat, usually no color pages.

It Pays to Know

Last night, my family and I gathered in the kitchen and live-streamed the #PiliPinasDebate2016 hosted by Luchi Cruz-Valdes of TV5. This is the second of the three-series debates spearheaded by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). The event was organized by COMELEC and in cooperation with TV5 and The Philippine Star among others. This was held in UP-Cebu's Performing Arts Hall and was a battle of wits among four candidates only as Miriam Defensor-Santiago underwent a clinical trial for an anti-cancer pill. Nevertheless, her supporters attended in her stead as they say there was a need to "make their presence known".

Social networking sites (SNS) are still abuzz about what happened last night, the reactions were varied from simply being annoyed to downright infuriated. Though, there were times that that the candidates were pretty entertaining (by) themselves. But personally, I haven't really gotten over the delay. It was supposed to start by 5 p.m. and finish at 9 p.m. but it was pushed for more than an hour and finished roughly at 10 p.m.

Cheers to Friendship!

My every day life was boring
Until you guys came along.
I had nowhere else to go to,
But you asked if I wanted to tag along.

A lot of people thought we're crazy
They didn't know we're just happy,
In this world where a lot is phony,
A friendship so true ---- oh, how classy!

It's been years since then,
And a lot has happened since.
When we get together and reminisce,
We can't help but laugh like silly miss(es)!

We find ourselves saying,
"Oh, those days were the best!"
We grew in laughter and tears,
Whilst munching on snacks and beers!

Reasons why we came to be
are now pretty clear to me.
You guys and I were meant to be,
To cross paths and teach other how it is to be truly happy!

Woes and Blues!

Okay, this is just going to be a quick one. I'm supposed to be busy, as in real busy with all the reviewers and all. However, Math is up! I'm not particularly excited to do anything Math-related. I broke up with Math like half a decade ago! Haha. .

I'm also waiting for this interactive learning portal to load. It's been a great help since my tutees use them in school. It worked just fine yesterday but now its acting up, just when I needed it the most, huhu! Whatever, I guess, I just have to suck it up! Arghhhh! These kids better get good grades or else, chika lang! Haha.

Solemn March 2016

If you're Catholic, then you're probably aware that the Holy Week is just around the corner. School year ends relatively early because of it, especially in Catholic schools. The local parishes and the sub-parishes are bursting with so much activities. (I should know, my parents basically live for these activities!)

Thus far, in our neighborhood, Stations of the Cross / Way of the Cross has been done since March hit. Activities for each day of the Holy Week has also been announced so as to inform and gather more participants. In between, recollections, cursillos, PREX seminars are the rage.

Note to Self: You Are Not Alone

I know that you suffer and sometimes the pain is too much.
But try to remember its not just you who feel as fvck,
For people around you, suffer as much as you do,
Sometimes even more than you'll ever know too!

You may feel like its not worth it anymore.
As good and cheery days have passed,
You may feel cold and desolate,
And no one gives a fvck!

Allow yourself to breathe,
Let go of the negative vibes.
Healing begins when you accepted,
some things you just can't hide.

You are not alone,
Always keep this in mind.
For others had also struggled
And they have survived!

It may not seem possible,
But hold on and believe.
For no suffering has no ending,
And life will always have beginnings.

Lazada Philippines: Giving You Your Money's Worth

The world today is so fast-paced that sometimes the 24 hours in a day don't even seem enough for what you need to do. "So many things to do, yet so little time" drama may seem cliche but it's definitely true! Luckily, many innovators have pondered on this dilemma and thus invented many things that made life a little less complicated, among them is online shopping!

Reading Aid: Alphabet Booklet

Tutoring has been my bread and butter for a couple of years already (not that I advertise or anything). As a tutor, I make sure my tutee accomplishes his/her assignments, reinforce what he/she has learned in school and supplement the lesson (if there is a dire need to).

During the first few years, I handled learners who just needed some supervision. Meaning to say, they had the basics covered already; they knew how to read, understood the general idea (though, at times, I had to steer them into the right direction) and can very much read on their own. Until  a few years later, I was asked to help out with preschoolers and yes, "reading beginners".
